Temporary Closure of Darebin Libraries

To help promote good health and limit the impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Darebin Council have made the decision to close some of our community venues and services until further notice. This includes Darebin Libraries branches at Northcote, Preston, Reservoir and Fairfield.

Loans Extended

We are busy working on ways to support our community and continue to offer library services. While our branches are closed:

  • Due dates on all existing loans will be extended.
  • No overdue fines will accrue.
  • Existing reservations will be held until we can get them to you, safely.

You can continue to access our many online resources with your membership details and to return items via our chutes.

Library Updates

You can stay informed with library updates via our website and
Facebook.

If you need to contact us, or if you need help accessing online information, you can still call us: 1300 655 355 (9am–5pm, Mon–Fri).

Free Wifi is available around our libraries and in
our major shopping strips.

Visit
Darebin City Council website for information about other Council services.

We hope our community understands this decision was not taken lightly, but has been made knowing now is the time to look after ourselves and each other as we work together across the community to promote good health, patience and compassion, and lessen the impact of coronavirus.

Stay tuned, as we work out more ways to connect Darebin Libraries with you, our community.

Please continue to take good care of yourselves and those around you.
