Click and Collect

- 2020_Click-and-Collect_webbanner

Click and Collect is now available from Northcote and Reservoir libraries, and is the first step in re-connecting our community to physical library items such as books, DVDs, and magazines.

Collection times are available at both locations Monday to Friday, from 10am-5.30pm and Saturday from 10am-3.30pm. Bookings are essential.

Here's how it works:

1. Reserve your items  You can reserve items online through the library catalogue, choose Northcote or Reservoir Library as your pick-up location (log in with your library card number and six-digit PIN) or call 1300 655 355 for help.

2. Book a collection time  When your items are ready, we’ll notify you and send you a link to our booking system. Use our booking system to make a time to collect your reservations. You must make a booking before visiting the library. Collection times are Monday to Friday, from 10am–5.30pm and Saturday from 10am–3.30pm.

3. Collect your reservations – Visit the library at your booked time and collect your items. Please come within 15 minutes of your booked time. We will have your items ready for you.

4. Consider the safety of our community  Please follow directional signage, use the hand sanitiser provided prior to collecting your items and maintain hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene, and physical distancing of at least 1.5 metres. Only one person is allowed to collect items from the library foyer at a time, unless you are with, or are, a carer. If you feel unwell – have a sore throat, cough, a fever or breathing difficulties, we ask that you not attend your booking and recommend you seek medical advice.

If you need to contact us, or if you need help accessing online information, please call us on 1300 655 355 (Monday to Friday – 9am to 6pm, Saturday – 10am to 4pm).

We thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times.

Is it safe to handle books and library items? What hygiene protocols are in place?
To help keep us all safe and ensure we comply with government restrictions we are practising strict hygiene etiquette which includes regular cleaning of our library spaces, and quarantining returned items. Our library foyers are closed every hour for 15 minutes for cleaning.

Our staff are following the advice of the State Government and are handwashing regularly, using hand sanitiser frequently, practising social distancing and wearing gloves where necessary.
