Darebin Libraries branches now open!

To enter the library, Victorian law requires visitors aged over 12 years and two months to show acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination status. You also need to check in on arrival.

Masks are not required, but we do recommend them.

All staff working in library branches are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Click and Collect continues to operate, with collection available from outside library branches.

If you have a smartphone, a quick and easy way to show proof of vaccination is by adding your COVID-19 digital certificate to the Service Victoria app.

You can also use:

  • Printed copy of COVID-19 digital certificate together with suitable ID*
  • Printed copy of immunisation history statement together with suitable ID*
*Suitable ID can include photo ID, library card, Medicare card, Health Care Card, bank statement, rates notice, lease agreement.
For detailed information about getting proof of your COVID-19 vaccination please visit the Services Australia website.

We’ll help you!

If you’re having trouble using the Service Victoria app, accessing myGov or Medicare or if you need help obtaining your Immunisation History Statement or printing your COVID-19 Digital Certificate, you can call us for guidance on 1300 655 355 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) or visit one of our branches and we'll help you in-person.
When you come to the library for support accessing your vaccination certificate, bring as many of the following items as you can.

  • Your Medicare card or Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI)
  • Your concession card (if you have one)
  • Your myGov account log in details – Username and Password
  • Your email account log in details – Username and Password
  • Current ID (see list above)
  • If you have one, your mobile phone
  • Details of your last visit to a doctor or specialist and the bank account details registered with Medicare (you may need these to create your Medicare online account and link to myGov)
Don’t worry if you don’t have some of these, as there are multiple ways of accessing your vaccination certificate.

Local vaccination centres

If you still need to get vaccinated, Darebin has many easy-to-get-to, all-ages, all-community, accessible, pop-up clinics  running in the heart of our local neighbourhoods. No need to book (although some have that option as well), just turn up, and bring your friends and family along. All welcome.

Please be assured that all staff working in library branches will be double vaccinated against COVID-19.
