    CBCA Judge's Talk

    CBCA, Jo Panckridge, will share her insights into this year’s shortlisted titles for the Children’s Book Awards.  Come along if you’re an educator, aspiring writer for kids or just for the pleasure of listening to a passionate and knowledgeable expert speak about books.

    Established in 1945, the CBCA is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to engage the community with literature for young Australians.  Annual awards are presented to books for outstanding contribution to Australian children’s literature.  

    This event is a Professional Development opportunity for educators.

    Wurundjeri History Talk

    The Wurundjeri people are the recognised Traditional Owners of a large geographically diverse area that encompasses both urban and rural lands, including the Darebin region. Hear Wurundjeri elder Uncle Bill speak about his experiences, culture and history at this frank and engaging discussion that recognises the strong physical and cultural presence of Aboriginal people in Darebin and their struggle for Aboriginal rights and social justice.
